Terms of Service

TrustedStatus is operated by ExieLabs Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Companies House registration number: 14314034). Our registered office address is: Poole, Dorset, BH16 1AA.

TrustedStatus is an independent service reliability and monitoring platform. We provide observational status signals, historical availability information, and optional notifications relating to selected third-party digital services.

Throughout these Terms, "TrustedStatus", "ExieLabs", "we", "us", and "our" refer to ExieLabs Limited, the operator of the TrustedStatus platform. "You" and "your" refer to any person or organisation accessing or using the service.

By accessing or using TrustedStatus, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the service.

TrustedStatus may provide some or all of the following:

• Independent monitoring of third-party services
• Status classifications such as operational, degraded, maintenance, or outage
• Historical reliability and availability data
• Optional alerts, notifications, or subscription-based updates
• Supporting commentary or summary information

TrustedStatus is not an official status page for any monitored provider unless explicitly stated otherwise.

TrustedStatus is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the services, vendors, or platforms it monitors.

TrustedStatus provides best-effort, observational information derived from our own monitoring methods, checks, logic, and thresholds.

We do not guarantee that any information made available through TrustedStatus is:

• Accurate
• Complete
• Always up to date
• Available in real time
• Free from false positives or false negatives

Status classifications and alerts are generated using automated methods and may sometimes differ from official vendor communications, real user experience, or the actual operational state of a third-party service.

You should not treat TrustedStatus as the sole source of truth for operational, commercial, legal, emergency, or mission-critical decisions.

You agree not to:

• Use the service in any unlawful or fraudulent manner
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or infrastructure
• Interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the operation of the platform
• Scrape, harvest, mirror, or bulk extract data without written permission
• Reverse engineer, copy, or recreate core parts of the platform for commercial use
• Use automated means to overload or abuse the service
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where we reasonably believe misuse, abuse, or a breach of these Terms has occurred.

Some parts of TrustedStatus may require you to create an account, subscribe to a plan, or provide contact details in order to receive alerts or access certain features.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and current information
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity carried out under your account

Where paid subscriptions are offered, billing and payment processing may be handled by third-party providers such as Stripe. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to the terms and policies of the relevant payment provider.

Unless stated otherwise at the point of purchase, subscriptions renew automatically on a recurring basis until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@trustedstatus.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, after which you will not be charged further.

Cooling-off rights and digital content

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers ordinarily have the right to cancel a digital service contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason.

However, by completing your subscription purchase you expressly request that we begin providing the service immediately, and you acknowledge that you will lose your 14-day statutory right to cancel once the service has begun. This does not affect any other statutory rights you may have.

If you do not wish to lose your cooling-off right, do not request immediate access to the service and contact us at hello@trustedstatus.co.uk before your subscription is activated.

Pricing and VAT

All prices displayed on TrustedStatus are inclusive of VAT at the applicable UK rate, unless explicitly stated otherwise at the point of purchase.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods except where required by applicable law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you believe you are entitled to a refund or have a complaint about a digital service you have purchased, please contact us and we will assess your request in accordance with our legal obligations.

ExieLabs Limited processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and stored, how long we retain it, and what rights you have as a data subject — including your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection.

Where you provide personal data, such as an email address to receive alerts or to create an account, you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

You may exercise your data subject rights at any time by contacting us at privacy@trustedstatus.co.uk.

TrustedStatus may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember your preferences, and analyse usage patterns.

In accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), we will seek your consent before setting any non-essential cookies. You may withdraw your consent or manage your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings on the platform.

TrustedStatus monitors third-party platforms and may reference third-party names, products, trademarks, and services for identification purposes only.

We are not responsible for:

• The availability, performance, or security of third-party services
• Statements made by third-party providers
• Any outages, incidents, or losses caused by third-party systems

Any issues relating to a monitored service must be taken up with the relevant provider directly.

We aim to operate TrustedStatus reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, continuous access, or error-free operation.

The platform may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates, infrastructure issues, security events, third-party failures, or reasons outside our control.

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms to the extent that such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, severe weather, pandemic, epidemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, interruption of power or telecommunications services, failures of third-party infrastructure or cloud providers, or action by any governmental or regulatory authority.

Where a force majeure event affects our ability to provide the service for a sustained period, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify users and, where applicable, resume normal service as soon as reasonably practicable.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other matter which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, TrustedStatus is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We shall not be liable for:

• Loss of profits
• Loss of revenue
• Loss of business opportunity
• Loss of data
• Business interruption
• Operational or commercial decisions made in reliance on the service

We are also not liable for any loss arising from inaccuracies, delays, missing alerts, incorrect classifications, or interruptions in the TrustedStatus platform or in the third-party services we monitor.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TrustedStatus from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or connected with your misuse of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

We may update, suspend, withdraw, or change any part of TrustedStatus at any time, including the list of monitored services, monitoring methods, features, thresholds, pricing, access models, and data retention periods. We will add or remove monitored services at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date shown above. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users in advance by email.

Your continued use of TrustedStatus after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept revised Terms, you should discontinue use of the service and, where applicable, cancel your subscription.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, with or without notice, where:

• You breach these Terms
• We reasonably suspect abuse, fraud, or misuse
• We are required to do so for legal, operational, or security reasons

Termination of access does not affect any rights or obligations accrued before termination.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed from the remaining Terms, which shall continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies or notices published on TrustedStatus, constitute the entire agreement between you and ExieLabs Limited in relation to your use of the service. They supersede all prior representations, discussions, undertakings, or agreements relating to the same subject matter.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision under these Terms on any occasion shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision, nor shall it prevent us from enforcing it on a future occasion.

Assignment

We may assign, transfer, or subcontract our rights and obligations under these Terms to another entity, for example in connection with a sale of the business or a corporate restructuring. We will notify users where such a transfer materially affects the service. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
